Welcome to the Texas Panhandle Hunting
Retriever Club (TPHRC) Web Site.
The TPHRC is made up of a group of hunting and retriever enthusiasts in the Panhandle-Southern High Plains of Texas. The
TPHRC is a dual affiliated member of The Hunting Retriever Club (HRC) and The National Field Retriever Association (NFRA).
Our club sponsors formal training sessions which include training clinics, simulated hunting situations, fun tests, and an annual
banquet. We host at least one sanctioned hunt test each year usually in May.
TPHRC provides wonderful opportunities to meet others and make new friends who share similar interests in hunting with retrievers. Our club is geographically divided into two primary training hubs, North (Amarillo area) and South (Lubbock area). These local groups allow members to get together to train dogs on a frequent basis. The TPHRC is a family oriented club, and we encourage the entire family to become involved in training, hunting, and testing retrievers.
All you need is a retriever - young or old, and a desire to help your dog be a better companion and hunting retriever. Thanks for visiting our web page. We hope to see you and your hunting retriever at a club function very soon!
